Famous Nappers 5: Lin-Manuel Miranda

Brazen napper

I mean, seriously, could Lin-Manuel Miranda be any more likable? The guy brought us Hamilton, In the Heights, the music from Encanto — I’d note here that “Surface Pressure” and “We Don’t Talk About Bruno” have been on constant rotation in my house for years…and it’s not always my kids asking Alexa to play them.

As if that weren’t enough, he’s an unabashed napper.¹ I’ve seen him all over social media demonstrating this time and time again. With that, I’m pleased to share a picture of Lin-Manuel Miranda napping (or Tweeting about napping) almost every year for the better part of a decade!

It appears that Lin-Manuel stopping Tweeting actively somewhere in 2020 or so, hence (presumably) the lack of napping pictures since then. With that, here are some other pictures of him napping over the years.

Fun fact: Lin-Manuel graduated Wesleyan in 2002, the same year I graduated college. I was accepted to Wesleyan and considered going there but chose not to for reasons I’d be glad to tell you about in person. With that, I’d like to imagine that in an alternate universe, I went to Wesleyan, he and I are good friends, I was in Hamilton, and he contributes regularly to TND, which exists, unlike my friendship with Hen and Evan (sorry, fellas).
